NWMSU recognized as Tree Campus USA


MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University was recently recognized as Tree Campus USA for the seventh year in a row.

Northwest was recognized again for meeting the national program's five core standards for effective campus forest management, which includes hosting student service-learning projects.

Additionally, the University was awarded a $10,000 TRIM grant from the Missouri Department of Conservation to invest in the state's arboretum housed on campus since 1993. Northwest is the home to more than 1,700 trees and 160 species.
